State Meet Results

Our state team did us proud this weekend!  We had lots of great races and ended up getting third place as a team for Division 2.  We got a trophy!  Woohoo!  You can see the results and latest team records attached as well as see highlights below:

Message From Coach

This season, we had hundreds of personal bests, hosted two great home meets, were runners-up at City Meet, rostered a state team of 31 swimmers, set 23 team records, and placed 3rd at state in Division 2. Woohoo!

And while all this is great, it is not what I think is most important.  The things that I hope will last from this season for our swimmers are new friendships, perserverance, newfound confidence, and feeling part of a very special team.  My hope is that being an SCCA Shark is a highlight of summers that kids will look back on fondly.

This couldn’t have happened without all of you! Thanks for everything you brought to the pool and our team this summer.  I got so many compliments on how our swimmers race so hard and yet are so nice, how awesome meets hosted at SCCA are, and that the SCCA families are amazing.

Thank you as well, for the generous gifts to myself and our other amazing coaches.  We feel very appreciated!

Pick up your ribbons!

Our ribbon boxes will be at the guard shack from Tuesday to Friday this week.  Ask for the boxes at the counter and clear out your folder.  We are still working on getting some missing medals from City Meet, but I will let those swimmers/families know once we have those in hand.

New Shark Shed and Team Bulletin Board

We are going to use funds that we raised from City Meet last year to put in a new shed on the NW corner of the pool.  This shed will be big enough to replace the tin shed on the NW corner and the wooden shed on the South lawn.  This will help to keep our equipment, blocks and supplies organized and protected.  

The shed can't be installed until after the pool closes.  We will need some help with cleaning out old sheds, making some dump runs, and loading supplies into the new shed.  We will send an email with details once we have them.  Volunteers can earn discounted registration for 2027.

We will also be installing an outdoor board to display our team records, pictures and other amazing things about the Sharks Swim Team.
