Weekly Preview 7/6 - 7/11
Hello Shark Families,
Thanks to everyone for a great Intersquad Meet on Friday. It was great to see some parents getting in on the racing action! I also wanted to give a shout out to our awesome assistant and junior coaches we have with us this summer. We are truly lucky to have these awesome people helping us out. Assistant Andrew Nazeck will be gone for most of the remaining season, but may stop by to say hi. Katie Johnson, Quinn Reyes and Sara Gerhardt will be finishing out the season with us. And now, here is your weekly preview:
Week at a Glance
- MONDAY - Regular practices. City meet details sent out to families (CITY MEET Merch Orders close at midnight).
- TUESDAY - Regular practices.
- WEDNESDAY - 7/11 Home Meet Entries due at Noon. Regular practices.
- THURSDAY - Regular Practices.
- FRIDAY - City Meet Entries Due at Noon. Regular Practices.
- SATURDAY - Home Meet vs Westfield, Bucking Horse and Loveland
Home Meet on 7/11
- You can sign up for events (up to 3 individual) and volunteer jobs on Swimtopia.
- Please sign up for events by Wednesday at noon.
- The meet will potentially start at 7:30 instead of 8:00 if the timeline runs too long.
- More details will be shared with families on Friday
City Meet Details
- More information will be shared about City Meet in an email sent on Monday.
- Some important details to know for now:
- Friday AM - 11-12, 13-14, 15-18 AGE GROUPS
- Friday PM - All Distance Events (100 for 8&U, 200 Free, 400 Free)
- Saturday AM - 8 & Under, 9-10 AGE GROUPS
- Families pay for individual events ($5 flat fee plus $7 per event)
- The team will pay for relay entries
- Entries will be due Friday, July 10 at noon
- Coaches will be reviewing events and put together best combinations of relays for this meet.
Swimming Rules of the Week - Hold Steady
