This Week for the Sharks...
Shark Families-
Please check out all the sections of this long email. Thanks!
What an awesome showing by our team this weekend. We got second place behind an extra large team and I am so proud of these kids. We had 158 PRs, lots of heat winners, new state qualifiers and several new team records. We also had some swimmers who had goggle malfunctions and still swam like absolute champions. Way to go Sharks!
If your swimmer got disqualified, I know that can be disappointing or discouraging. Please know that we have been working on things all summer but sometimes in competition the excitement or nerves can cause swimmers to make some mistakes that they may not ordinarily do. Some of the best swimmers I know have had to work for several years before getting some of their races legal. These swimmers should know that this is part of every swimmer's journey.
Congrats to our new State Qualifiers!
Jordy Hill (25 Back), Joe Brennan (50, 100, 200 Free), AJ Berger (100 Free, 25 Fly), Katie Johnson (50 Free)
Congrats to our new Shark Team Record Holders!

Last Chance Time Trials on Monday
Tomorrow morning we will run a last chance time trials for some swimmers who are close to a state time. We will have a warm-up at 7:30 and time trials will start at 8:00. If you want to swim in an event, you can enter in Swimtopia. Swimmers should be within roughly a second or less for 50's or 25's and 2-3 seconds for a 100 or more. Coaches will approve entries. Some swimmers may be asked to race along side our swimmers who are trying to qualify. Even if you are not swimming, you can come down to the pool and cheer on our swimmers!
Awards on Tuesday Morning
All Sharks are invited to stop by the pool on Tuesday morning anytime between 8:30-9:30 to enjoy some treats, pick up ribbons from the last few meets and say bye to your friends and coaches. There is no formal presentation or activity, just an open house style event. If you can't make it, the ribbon box will live in the guard shark for the next few weeks and you can swing by the pool to ask for it. Hope to see you there!
State Team Practices
Any swimmers participating in the state meet will have practices from 7:30-8:30am from Tuesday to Friday. These are for state swimmers only.
Thanks so much for your support and work this summer with this awesome team!
Go Sharks!
