Hello Sharks Families,

We’re so excited for all the big things happening with our team this season! It’s a big week — our first swim meet is coming up this Saturday, June 14 at SCCA.

🔹 Meet Registration Reminder:
If your swimmer plans to participate, please register them in SwimTopia no later than Wednesday, June 11 at 12:00 PM (noon).

• Swimmers may enter up to three individual events and can participate in up to two relays.
• Coaches assign all relays and will review swimmer-selected events.
• If your swimmer is not signed up, we will assume they are not attending the meet.

🦈 Sharks Relays – Wednesday, June 11 (8:00–9:30 AM):
We’ll be holding our exciting Sharks Relays during this time in place of regular practice. It’s a great chance for the entire team to come together, have fun, and build team spirit — don’t miss it!
Note: There will be no regular practice that day.

👕 Team T-Shirts:
We are still distributing our awesome Sharks team t-shirts! If you haven’t received yours yet, please see a board member during practice times.
To help keep track of shirts, we recommend writing your swimmer’s last name on the tag — they all look the same, and this makes it easier to return lost shirts.

🛍️ If you placed an order through our Gear Store, your items have arrived and will be available for pickup at the pool during practice.

♻️ Sharks Gear Swap:
Have old Sharks gear that your swimmer has outgrown? We’re starting a Gear Swap Tub at practices!
Feel free to drop in gently used team items your swimmer no longer needs, and look through for items that might fit your current swimmer. Let’s help each other out and keep the team spirit going!

🙋♀️ Volunteer Checks Still Needed:
We are still missing quite a few volunteer checks. Please turn yours in to our treasurer, Kerri, as soon as possible.
Remember: If you fulfill your volunteer requirements, your check will be returned at the end of the season.

📣 Interested in Joining the Sharks Board?
We’re currently looking for someone to take over the Treasurer position starting next season. Our wonderful Kerri will be leaving the Sharks as her kiddos have aged out of the team.
We would love to find someone interested in shadowing her this season and taking over the role next year. If this sounds like something you’d enjoy or want to learn more about, please reach out — we’d love to have you on board!

🏆 2025 City Championship Meet – Hosted by SCCA!
We are thrilled to announce that SCCA will host the 2025 Summer Swim League City Championship Meet on Friday, July 18, and Saturday, July 19!
This will be our first time hosting this exciting event, and we’re eager to get organized early and work out as many details as possible.

We’re asking each family to plan on volunteering for at least three shifts this season to help keep our team running smoothly. If you plan to attend the City Meet, we kindly request that you find at least one way to support that event. If you’re unable to attend, there will be two other home meets with plenty of volunteer opportunities.
