Shark Families,

We try not to bombard you with information, but the season is moving quickly and we need to start getting ready for City Meet.  Please make sure you take time to read through the info below.  Thanks!

Why:  The City Meet is one of the most exciting swim meets you will ever attend.  All teams from out league will be there and it is a great way to culminate our regular season.  The Sharks are a big strong team and we would love to lots of swimmers there to make a strong showing!

When:  

• Friday, July 11 - 11 & Older Swimmers starting at 8:00am
• Saturday, July 12 - 10 & Under Swimmers starting at 8:00am

Where:  Village Green Pool  1831 Valley Forge Ave

Entries:  Swimmers can swim up to 4 individual events and 2 relays.  This is one more individual event that normal meets.  Entries are open now.

Entries are due by Monday, July 1 at noon.

Fees:  There is a $5 entry fee per swimmer plus $5 per individual event.  For example, if a swimmer enters in 3 individual events, the total fee cost would be $20 ($5 entry + $15 individual events).  We ask that families pay the entry fees for their swimmers.  The Sharks Team pays for relay entries.  All fees can be paid to the Sharks via cash, check, or Venmo (with a comment which swimmer fees it is for)

Swag:  You can purchase City Meet tees and hoodies ahead of time.  The online store closes June 26! Purchased items will be delivered to Village Green pool and can be picked up at the meet.

Team Strategy:  The Sharks are always in the mix for the best team in the league.  We encourage swimmers to pick some of their favorite events to sign up for.  Coaches may reach out to swimmers as well to sign up for some different events as well so we can compete for the team championship.  It is our hope to have most swimmers swimming a minimum of 3 events with most swimming 4.  

Relays:  Coaches will assign relays.  No relays with 3 swimmers are allowed.

Volunteers:  All teams are assigned some jobs to help run the city meet.  There are roles for each of the days that you can sign up for on Swimtopia.
