Hello Shark Families,

Here is one last update to wrap up the season...

State Meet Division II Champions!

Our state team did such an amazing job representing our team this past weekend!  We had some amazing swims, excellent comradery, some new team records, and the best cheering section on the planet.  At the state meet, each team is classified in divisions based on how they placed last year.  The Sharks were a Division II team (you can see the divisions on the attachment).  Our first place finish earned us an awesome trophy (pictured) and the highest placing team from Fort Collins.  Way to go Sharks!

We also had several Sharks win their respective events.  Congrats to the following State Champions!

• Tricia Marchant, Hamilton Birdsall, Ruby Frey, Maddy Berger - 100 Medley Relay (8 & Under)
• Ruby Frey - 25 Butterfly, 50 Freestyle, 100 IM (8 & Under)
• Althea Brennan - 50 Freestyle (9-10)

Shark of the Year - Ruby Frey

You have probably seen Ruby Frey's name a lot.  You will often find it near the top of meet results and on the Sharks records.  Ruby is often smiling, acts cool as a cucumber, and then gets in the pool and tears it up!  She has an amazing list of accomplishments from this season:

• 8 & Under Girls Team record holder for all individual events except 1
• Member of both record setting team relays
• State Qualifier in every event
• State Champion in 3 individual events and one relay
• Overall Most Points scored of any swimmer in the regular season
• Overall 2nd Most points scored of any swimmer at the State Meet.

Ribbons and Awards

The awards from City Meet and State are in the ribbon box.  The box will be in the guard shack this week.  Please stop by the pool during operating hours and ask to see the ribbon box and clear out your family folder.

Thanks to everyone who made this summer possible.  Our accomplishments are great, but we also don't need any trophies to know that this is the best team around. Until next year!
