Sharks,

What an awesome meet today!  I am so proud of the amazing swimming, cheering and sportsmanship I saw from everyone today.  Way to go swimmers!

The meet results are attached.  In addition, please see the roster of our 2022 State Qualifiers!  We are hoping to get a few more qualifications at City Meet!

Swim-a-thon information for Friday, 7/15

• The swim-a-thon will take place from 7-9am on Friday.  Advanced Swimmers and experienced Mako Sharks can start swimming at 7 and swim all the way up until 9.  The rest of the Mako Sharks and Hammerheads can start swimming anytime after 8.  At 9, we will stop swimming and have donuts to celebrate.
• Each swimmer will swim as many yards as possible in the given amount of time.  We will have kickboards, pull buoys and music.  We will add up the total yards for the team at the end.
• Instead of asking for donations per lap, we are asking swimmers to collect flat-rate donations.  Our goal is an average is of $10 per kid.
• The donations can be solicited and collected up until next Thursday, July 21.  Cash, Check and Paypal are accepted.  There is a link to the Paypal on our website and on the attached handout.  Swimmers can get a hard copy of the handout at practice if they would like.
• Our goal is to use funds to purchase a Dolphin Wireless Timing system for meets.  This is an awesome tool that increases accuracy and cuts down on the amount of volunteers needed to run a meet.
• This event should be fun!  If you have more questions, please ask Rob or a board member!

Payment for City Meet Entries

• We will spend next week preparing to bring a massive Shark Attack to City Meet!  Can we repeat as City Champs?
• Individual entry fees for City meet can be collected by Paypal, cash or check.  The amount is $4 per swimmer plus $4 per individual event that swimmer is entered in.  (Swimmer in 3 events would pay $16).  
• You can bring money to practice.  Please take care of your fees by the start of City Meet.
• If you have questions, please ask Rob or our amazing treasurer Kerri.

• Swim-a-thon:  Friday, July 15
• City Meet (11 & up):  Friday, July 22
• City Meet (10 & under):  Saturday, July 23
• End of Season Awards:  Sunday, July 24 at 7:30pm at SCCA
